Debbie is an Acupuncturist and Herbalist, earning her post-graduate degree in 1999 from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She has studied under senior practitioners in both the US and China including an apprenticeship with Dr. Jake Fratkin and a year long internship in Hangzhou, China where she focussed her studies on Gynecology and Autoimmune Disease.
Debbie also holds a Master's Degree in Public Health and worked as a researcher for the Department of Public Health Medicine and Epidemiology at UCD. While there she was funded by the National Nutrition Surveillance Centre to contribute to the governments 2005 Obesity Task Force Report--investigating the effects of physical activity on weight loss, health and society. She also implemented acupuncture and herbal medicine programs in the treatment of addiction for the North Dublin Inner City Drugs Task Force.
She has practiced TCM in Australia and Ireland working with women's health issues including infertility, menopause, pregnancy related issues, and menstrual issues. She has lectured at the Naturopathic College of Ireland and International Institute of TCM in Cork, Ireland.
Debbie is a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM.)
Debbie is a professor at Southwest Acupuncture College and lectures in Public Health and Epidemiology; she also teaches Point Location. Debbie works part time at Boulder Community Hospital (BC) in their Center for Integrative Care which focuses on supporting patients going through oncology treatments.
