Our clinic recently attended the Boulder Neurosurgical Associates 12th Symposium and had the opportunity to hear Howard Wasdin, DC a former Navy SEAL sniper on SEAL Team Six. He told some amazing stories. One of the major messages came out of his presentation was the need for connection and how important it is to help your fellow man.
If you have extra time, want to feel connection, if you are “bored” or wondering what to do in your life, take some time to reach out to someone else. One of the biggest issues for handicapped, ailing, and elderly people is isolation and the inability to do basic tasks. We have clients who need help doing things such as: grocery shopping, getting to doctors appointments, getting to church or temple, and some have “last wishes” such as going to a special place – a park, a mountain view, etc. More than anything, if you have time to talk with someone and give your attention, we have people who would like to get to know you. If you would like to get involved, please give us a call and let us know. We will add you to a list and connect you with people we know who would love your help.
Thank you!
