The Acupuncture Clinic of Boulder recently had the honor of hosting Dr. Loralie Moeller at our clinic. Dr. Moeller, co- owner of Avista Women’s care for over 23 years, now works with Advent Hospital OB/Gyn. Dr. Moeller is currently doing a fellowship in Integrative Health. The best healthcare is a collaborative experience. We had an exciting day at the clinic and saw the following cases:

  • Prostatitis with urinary urgency
  • Trigger Point Dry Needling for tight adductors and quadriceps
  • Nausea and vomiting secondary to endometriosis
  • Costochondritis (cartilage/rib pain) secondary to chronic, severe cough
  • Sinus pain secondary to chronic tooth infection
  • Management of varicose vein aching, pelvic congestion syndrome pain, hemorrhoid pain and labial swelling
  • Traumeel injection
  • Lumbar (low back) pain from stenosis
  • Bicep tendonitis secondary to intense daily Pickleball playing
  • Post-herpetic shingles nerve pain
  • Neck pain
  • Calming of Parkinson’s symptoms
  • Distended abdomen from digestive gas and bloating

During the day I learned more about the procedures Dr. Moeller performs. Besides being a fantastic doctor providing obstetric care and delivering babies, she also:

  • Does trigger point injections for vestibulitis and focal vulvar dyspareunia (pain during or after sexual intercourse)
  • Myofascial trigger point injections for pain related to endometriosis
  • Installations for interstitial cystitis
  • Hormone replacement therapy for menopausal and perimenopausal women
  • She is also trained in minimaly invasive surgery such as Laparoscopy and Robotics
  • She enjoys general obstetrics and gynecology with particular interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology as well as the post-menopausal years.
